UCLA Film and Television Archive's collection contains over 50,000 films and 27 million feet of newsreel footage -- the largest moving image collection held by any American university. UCLA holds the only known or best surviving material from thousands of American feature films and short subjects as well as The Hearst Metrotone News collection.
